A very fine copy.

In all, 624 pages, 279 works illustrated in colour, cloth in slipcases. 43x30cms. The first volume treats works from the late Kan'ei period (early 17th century) to the early 18th century. Works by Hishigawa Moronobu, Kaigetsudo Ando, Kaigetsudo Doshu, Takeda Harunobu, Okumura Masanobu, among others, are highlighted. The second deals with works from the Kyoho era (early 18th century) to the early 19th century. Highlightinf artists such as Miyagawa Choshun, Nishigawa Sukenobu, Isoda Koryusai & Katsukawa Shunsho. The final volume covers works from the end of the 18th to the late 19th century.
