Première édition. Quinze tableaux sur la double page par le célèbre peintre et illustrateur Brian Wildsmith (Penistone, Angleterre 1930-2016 Grasse, France). Œuvres d’art sans texte (à part “The Circus comes to town” sur la première page et “The Circus goes away sur la dernière) montrant les numéros du cirque : clowns, ours savants, équilibristes, écuyère, fauves, singes, éléphant, chiens etc. Extraordinaire maîtrise du peintre dans l’emploi de différentes techniques colorées à chaque page renouvelées. Compositions d’art figuratives cependant et toujours enjouées. Le pelliculage de la jaquette a été (d’origine) appliqué au revers en tête et en pied, laissant un infime cerne en pied des couvertures. Une petite fente en tête de la jaquette. Dédicace sur la première garde volante.
