Ennio Quirino Visconti; an Italian antiquarian and art historian was the leading expert of his day in the field of ancient sculpture, and at the time Director of the Museo Capitolino. Engraved Greek sculpture frontis depicts the head of Apollo. Text in Italian. In marbled brown paper covers. A very scarce item. Covers are slightly curled at edges, and there are a few small closed tears. A little grubby inside, with light water stain to bottom of all pages. 315 x 230 mm (12œ x 9 inches).
