A watercolour entitled Water and marshbirds. Beautifully executed, would appear to be the original for a book illustration? 16 water and marsh birds are illustrated, including a swan and a flamingo. illustration is on art board and is sized 48cm x 31cm. It is presented under passe partout of 60cm x 40cm. To the bottom edge is a little marking. One of the birds (Grey Heron) has been neatly pasted onto the rest of the image. To the reverse of the passe partout is a photocopy of the artwork with the birds labelled in German.
