There is a little marking to the slipcase, but the folder and contents are in beautiful condition. 262 pages. 325 by 250mm (12Ÿ by 9Ÿ inches). The "Maximes" of François de Rochefoucauld are a famous series of moral reflections first published in the 17th century, known in French as "Réflexions ou sentences et maximes morales". Albert Decaris, a renowned French engraver, illustrated special limited editions of these maxims with original burin engravings in the 20th century. .
