Luzern Josef Stocker 1944 Première édition. Un bel exemplaire de cette première édition numérotée et limitée. N° 384/1500. Reliure de type « pouch binding », en carton rigide couleur crème, cousue avec un cordon au niveau du dos. La couverture est légèrement foncée et présente quelques légères traces d'usure. Le dos est un peu fendu, mais cela n'affecte pas la solidité de l'ouvrage, le cordon assurant la cohésion de la reliure. L'intérieur est propre et soigné, mais les bords des pages sont légèrement noircis. Chaque mois comporte une page de texte à gauche et une illustration en pleine page à droite. 44 pages. 39 cm x 28 cm. Richard Seewald (1889-1976). Peintre et illustrateur né à Munich. À partir de 1931, il s'installa au Tessin, région italophone de Suisse. C'est là qu'il se convertit au catholicisme. Il retourna en Allemagne en 1948.

First edition. An attractive copy of this numbered limited first edition. #384/1500. Bound in the pouch binding style, Stiff cream card binding, sewn with cord to the spine. The cover is a little darkened, and has some slight rubbing to the covers. A little splitting to the spine, but this is a limited issue as the cord holds the binding together. Internally clean and tidy, but with a little darkening to the page edges. Each month has a page of script to the left, and a full page illustration to the right leaf. 44 pages. 39cm x 28cm. Richard Seewald (1889-1976). A Munich born painter and illustrator. From 1931 he settled in Ticino, an Italian speaking part of Switzerland. He converted to Roman Catholicism whilst living here. He returned to Germany in 1948. .
