Nouvelle édition de cet important ouvrage de Grotius, publié en néerlandais en 1622 et traduit en latin dès 1627. Exemplaire bien complet de son frontispice qui manque souvent. Cet ouvrage d'apologétique chrétienne est le premier écrit par un protestant. Provenance : Léonce Ardoin, ingénieur à Marseille, avec son cachet sur le titre. Plein parchemin à la hollandaise, plats rigide, tache sur le dos et le second plat, petites taches, rousseurs. Bonne édition XVIIe.
