Walch 316; Walch-Gerits, Supplement, 175; Kress C.3132; Goldsmiths 27774; Einaudi 1749. First edition. The text of Les trois familles was written by E. Barrault. This work provoked prosecution on the grounds of 'immorality' of the saint-simonian family and of Enfantin, Chevalier and Barrault personally. Oval stamp on title-page: Bibliotheque Saint-Simonienne and in the center of the oval "Pereire", on front paste-down a label: "P 85".
