TREGEAR, G.S.

London G.S. Tregear 1835 Première édition. Un bel exemplaire de ce tirage. L'un des ouvrages de la série "Flights of Humour". Nous ne savons pas lequel, car le petit cartouche qui devait le numéroter a été coupé dans l'angle. Néanmoins, cet exemplaire est typique du style de cette série et a été imprimé à la bonne époque. (L'adresse 96 Cheapside nous permet d'identifier l'impression entre 1834 et 1840). Comme c'est souvent le cas, aucun artiste n'est mentionné. Illustration coloriée à la main se moquant d'un père irlandais qui s'occupe beaucoup de son fils. La feuille est propre et soignée (avec juste une petite tache de rousseur) et n'est gâchée que par le coin qui a été coupé. Ceci peut être facilement caché par un passe partout ou un encadrement. 31 cm x 23,5 cm.

First Edition. An attractive copy of this print. One of the Flights of Humour series. We are unsure which, as the small cartouche which would number it has been cut away from the corner. Nevertheless, this is typical of the style of this series and was printed at the correct time. (From the address 96 Cheapside we can identify the printing as between 1834 and 1840). As is typical, no artist is credited. Hand coloured illustration mocking an Irish father for his heavy handed care of his son. The sheet is clean and tidy (with just a small foxing spot) and only spoiled by the corner having been clipped. This could be easily hidden by passe partout or framing. 31cm x 23.5cm. .

TRENTSENSKY, Matthäus

Wien M. Trentsensky 1860 Première édition, vers 1860. Un bel ensemble de six lithographies de la série Das Alpenleben. Publiée par Trentsensky et imprimée par E. Sieger, la série complète comprend 12 lithographies, chacune avec un certain nombre de vignettes de la vie alpine. Nous proposons les numéros 1 à 6 (donc la moitié d'une série). Nos feuilles sont magnifiquement colorées à la main. La base de chaque planche est peinte en gris, ce qui suggère qu'elles étaient destinées à être découpées (ou "feuilles de mandl") pour que les enfants puissent s'amuser avec. Les planches sont en bon état, propres, sur papier fin. Ce dernier est quelque peu terni par l'âge. Il y a peu d'usure sur les bords, mais quelques très petites déchirures fermées sur les bords. Chaque feuille mesure 235 par 370mm (9Œ par 14œ pouces).

First Edition, Circa 1860. A lovely set of six lithographs from the series Das Alpenleben. Published by Trentsensky and printed by E. Sieger, the full set comprised of 12 lithographs, each with a number of vignettes of alpine life upon them. We offer numbers 1-6 (So half a set). Our sheets are beautifully hand coloured. The base area of each is painted grey, suggesting that these were intended as cut out sheets (or "mandl sheets" ) for children to play with. The plates are in good, clean condition, on thin paper. This is somewhat toned with age. There is minimal edgewear, but a few very minor closed tears to the edges. Each sheet is 235 by 370mm (9Œ by 14œ inches). .

[TRIPHOOK, Robert (Ed.)].

Londres / London Harding and Wright 1812 Première édition. La page de titre indique que l'impression est faite "Au Parnasse burlesque, ex officina de la Banque du Bel Esprit, à l'Enseigne de la Facéciosité" et précise qu'elle a été imprimée la première année de l'Ère Nouvelle. Reliure contemporaine en demi-cuir, plats marbrés et filets dorés. Titres dorés simples au dos. La reliure est un peu frottée. La reliure se fissure un peu au niveau de la charnière avant, mais elle tient encore. La page de titre est ornée d'une jolie vignette représentant un bouffon de la cour. Au dos du livre se trouve une feuille gravée précédant les publicités pour les uvres de Triphook. Un rare recueil facétieux, contenant 353 pièces en vers et en prose tirées de divers ouvrages. -- "Ce recueil contient des extraits de divers ouvrages rares" (Brunet, III, 1466). Première édition de ce charmant recueil de textes burlesques français publié pour le marché anglais par Robert Triphook. L'éditeur Triphook est particulièrement connu pour ses éditions de textes insolites de ce type (une "marotte" est un bonnet de fou à grelots). Les textes proposés sont des contes facétieux mettant en scène divers rois de l'Ancien Régime (notamment Henri IV), des comtes et des présidents, des médecins et des avocats... Texte en français. viii, 292 pages. 15.5cm x 9.5cm. Le livre porte l'ex-libris de Sir Edward Walpole, membre du Parlement et fils de Sir Robert Walpole (le plus ancien Premier ministre du Royaume-Uni). Cela pose toutefois un problème, car Walpole est mort 30 ans avant la publication du livre. Le livre porte également la plaque "Stolen from Dangstein" (volé à Dangstein). Il s'agissait d'un domaine rural appartenant à Reginald Henry Nevill, qui semble avoir été l'héritier d'Edward Walpole (par l'intermédiaire de sa femme, qui était une Walpole). Contemporary half leather binding marbled boards and gilt fillets. Simple gilt titles to the spine. The binding is a little rubbed. Binding is cracking a little at the front hinge - still holding though. Title page has an attractive vignette of a court jester. To the rear of the book is an engraved leaf before the advert's for Triphook's works. A rare facetious collection, containing 353 pieces in verse and prose taken from various works. -- "This collection contains extracts from various rare works" (Brunet, III, 1466). First edition of this charming collection of French burlesque texts published for the English market by Robert Triphook. The publisher Triphook is particularly known for its editions of unusual texts of this type (a "marotte" is a fool's cap with bells). The texts offered are facetious tales featuring various kings of the Ancien Régime (particularly Henry IV), counts and presidents, doctors and lawyers... Text in French. viii, 292 pages. 15.5cm x 9.5cm. The book bears the bookplate of Sir Edward Walpole, the member of Parliament and son of Sir Robert Walpole (the United Kingdom's longest serving prime minister). However this presents a problem, as Walpole died 30 years before the book was published. The book also bears the plate "Stolen from Dangstein." This was a country estate, owned by Reginald Henry Nevill who appears to have been Edward Walpole's heir (through his wife, who was a Walpole). It seems that the bookplate was added long after walpole's death. The estate of Dangstein was largely designed by Lady Dorothy Nevill. Perhaps the person who read this book of amusing texts found it amusing to place an old bookplate for an impossible author into it.

Magnifiques illustrations de Job tout au long de l'ouvrage. Un ouvrage patriotique destiné aux enfants en pleine Première Guerre mondiale, vantant l'histoire héroïque de la France. 106 pages. 31 cm x 24 cm.

Not dated but 1915 First edition. Recent burgundy buckram with gilt titles and matching burgundy marbled boards. In excellent condition. The title and first page have some marking and darkening, the rest of the book is in very good condition, with just little darkening to the page edges. Beautiful illustrations by Job throughout. A patriotic work aimed at children in the middle of the first world war, extolling the heroic history of France. 106 pages. 31cm x 24cm. .

A rare book, which is untitled, but consists of sixteen postcards. These can be detached via the perforations around the edge of them. Colourful printed covers, the front using the image from Tuck's book called From a Merry Little Maid. Eight of which are printed in colour, and then those are mirrored on the opposite page in sepia, for the child to paint themselves. Some have been skilfully painted, but other remain sepia. Overall a lovely example of a very scarce item. 180 x 255 mm (7 x 10 inches).

Le bloc de texte est en bon état, avec un peu d'assombrissement / virage aux pages. Thomas Tully (1620-1676) était un ecclésiastique anglican. Il avait une promotion à Ripon. The text block is in good condition, with a little darkening / toning to the pages. Thomas Tully (16201676) was an Anglican clergyman. He held a preferment at Ripon. First edition. Pink paper covers, stapled. The cover of this slim paperback states that it receives "Blessing of Holy Father Pius X on Literary Work". Mainly clean pink paper, with a little nicking to the edges and slight marking. Internally clean and tidy, with a touch of darkening. A little rusting to the staples. 16 pages. COPAC cites only the BL copy of this work. Sheila Agnes Turk was the pseudonym of Sarah Ann Agnes Turk (18591927). A Catholic writer, buried in Nottingham Cemetery.

Une jolie scène pastorale italienne. 1842. Bel exemplaire de cette gravure. Gravure sur acier, imprimée sur papier. Un bel exemplaire de cette gravure. Bonne copie propre, avec seulement un assombrissement fractionné. Pas de défauts significatifs. L'image mesure 23.5cm x 34cm. La feuille mesure 45.5cm x 57cm. Conforme à l'Accession de gravures V & A E.4959-1946. Joseph Mallord William Turner (1775-1851), figure majeure du romantisme, a représenté dans plusieurs uvres le lac Nemi, un lac volcanique situé au sud-est de Rome. Découvert par l'artiste lors de son voyage en Italie en 1819, ce paysage lui a inspiré des études sur le motif et des toiles achevées plus tard, comme Lake Nemi (circa 1827-1828), une peinture à l'huile londonienne. Robert William Wallis (1794-1878) était un graveur anglais de premier plan, réputé pour ses interprétations des paysages de J.M.W. Turner. Formé par son père, Thomas Wallis, il devint une figure clé de la gravure du XIXe siècle, se spécialisant dans les gravures sur acier et au trait qui capturaient les effets atmosphériques de Turner.

Joseph Mallord William Turner (1775-1851), a major figure of Romanticism, depicted Lake Nemi, a volcanic lake southeast of Rome, in several works. Discovered by the artist during his trip to Italy in 1819 the landscape inspired studies of the motif and later completed canvases, such as Lake Nemi (circa 1827-1828), an oil painting London. Robert William Wallis (17941878) was a leading English engraver renowned for his interpretations of J.M.W. Turner's landscapes. Trained by his father, Thomas Wallis, he became a key figure in 19th-century printmaking, specializing in steel and line engravings that captured Turner's atmospheric effects. .

Utrecht The Stichtse Pepertje 1945 Eerste druk. Een zeldzaam exemplaar van deze vroege anti-nazipropaganda uit 1945. Gepubliceerd vlak na de bevrijding van Nederland op een clandestiene drukpers van Ons Volk. Stijve gele kartonnen band, met zwarte en rode versieringen en titels. Informatie over de uitgever op de achterkant. Een schoon en netjes exemplaar, met een lichte verkleuring aan de rand van de rug. Een vage handtekening aan de bovenrand van de voorkant. Van binnen schoon en netjes, met enkele vlekjes. Op de eerste pagina staat "Berlijn februari 1945". Dit verwijst naar de afgebeelde foto's, niet naar de publicatiegegevens. De illustratie op de voorkant is gedateerd maart 1945. 28 pagina's (de pagina's zijn genummerd van 1 tot 27, maar de middelste pagina's hebben allebei paginanummer 14). Er was een eerdere uitgave van dit boek (februari 1945), met een andere tekst op de voorkant. De pagina's waren niet genummerd en in het colofon stond: "De naam van deze publicatie is ontleend aan de kleine Engelse jacht-duikbommenwerper 'Mosquito', die vooral bekend werd vanwege de snelle, onverwachte aanvallen die hij uitvoerde op het Duitse oorlogspotentieel. De oplage bedraagt 750 exemplaren. De opbrengst gaat naar ondersteuning van het illegale werk." Deze uitgave van maart 1945 is niet genummerd en heeft geen colofon. De pagina's zijn genummerd. Komt overeen met WorldCat / OCLC: 64329831. Er zijn zeven bibliotheekexemplaren bekend, allemaal in Nederland. Andries Frederiks werkte als kunstenaar voor de Nederlandse Spoorwegen en maakte posters en ander reclamemateriaal. Onder het pseudoniem Tyl of Tyl Uilenspiegel begon hij te werken voor Het Stichtse Pepertje, maar al snel verschenen zijn tekeningen ook in andere tijdschriften. Frederiks kreeg de teksten voor de nieuwe artikelen aangeleverd en maakte zijn eigen illustraties, die hij rechtstreeks op de drukplaten van de kleine Rotaprint van de uitgever tekende.

First edition thus. A scarce copy of this early 1945 Anti-Nazi propaganda. Published just after the liberation of The Netherlands on a clandestine press operated by Ons Volk. Stiff yellow card binding, with black and red decoration and titles. Publisher's information to the rear panel. A clean and tidy copy, with fractional darkening to the spine edge. A faint signature to the top edge of the front cover. Internally clean and tidy throughout, with fractional foxing spots. The first page states "Berlin February 1945." This refers to the images portrayed, rather than publication information. Front cover illustration is dated March 1945. 28 pages (the pages are numbered 1-27, but the centre pages share the page number 14). There was an earlier issue of this book (february 1945), with a different line of text to the front cover. The pages were un-numbered and the colophon stated "The name of this publication was borrowed from the small English fighter-dive bomber ' Mosquito ' that became famous mainly because of the quick, unexpected stabs it inflicted on the German war potential. The circulation is 750 copies. The proceeds go to support the illegal work." This March 1945 issue not numbered and shows no colophon. Pages are numbered. A scarce item, we can find none for sale at the time of cataloguing. This is stated as a variant issue in De Jong 579. 16cm x 11.5cm. Conforms to WorldCat / OCLC: 64329831. Seven library holdings shown, all in the Netherlands. Andries Frederiks worked as an artist for the Dutch Railways, producing posters and other advertising materials. Under the pseudonym Tyl or Tyl Uilenspiegel, he started working for Het Stichtse Pepertje, but his drawings soon appeared in other magazines as well. Frederiks was provided with the texts for the new articles and created his own illustrations, drawing them directly onto the printing plates of the publisher's small Rotaprint. .

TYLER, Lieut. 2nd. G.B.

London R. Ackermann's Repository of Arts 1815 Première édition. Un magnifique exemplaire de cette carte de la bataille de Waterloo. Réalisée par le lieutenant Tyler et publiée le 1er août 1815, soit seulement 43 jours après la bataille. Pour le public britannique, ce fut la première occasion de découvrir le théâtre de cette célèbre victoire. En excellent état, avec des bords à peine usés. On note seulement un léger assombrissement, mais l'illustration coloriée à la main reste nette et lumineuse. Il s'agit du seul exemplaire actuellement disponible (au moment du catalogage) et l'un des plus beaux exemplaires encore existants. Elle représente la région de Belgique s'étendant de Bruxelles vers le sud jusqu'à la Sambre, et montre les armées française, prussienne et anglo-alliée qui se sont affrontées dans cette zone du 15 au 18 juin 1815. Les vétérans des campagnes européennes de Napoléon se sont ralliés à sa bannière après son évasion d'Elbe au début de l'année 1815. En revanche, bon nombre des soldats les plus expérimentés de Wellington se trouvaient de l'autre côté de l'Atlantique. Les armées se sont affrontées à Waterloo, dans une bataille qui a failli basculer d'un côté comme de l'autre. Cette rare carte grand format a été réalisée par un officier qui n'était probablement pas sur le terrain avec l'armée, puisqu'il faisait partie du 2e bataillon de garnison, stationné en Angleterre, et a été imprimée à la hâte peu après. La carte-journal était l'équivalent au XIXe siècle d'un bulletin d'information télévisé. 470 x 295 mm (18œ x 11œ pouces). Verso vierge.

First edition. A beautiful copy of this battle chart / map of the Battle of Waterloo. Created by Lt Tyler, and published on August 1st 1815, only 43 days after the battle itself. For the British public, this was the first chance they had to see the scene of the famous victory. In excellent condition, with barely any edgewear. A touch of darkening only, but the hand coloured illustration is still clean and bright. The only example currently available (at the time of cataloguing), and one of the finest examples still in existence. It depicts the area of Belgium from Brussels south to the Sambre River, and shows the French, Prussian and Anglo-Allied armies that fought in this area on the 15th18th June 1815.Veterans of Napoleon's European campaigns flocked to his banner after his escape from Elba in early 1815. By contrast, many of Wellington's most experienced soldiers were on the other side of the Atlantic. The armies met at Waterloo, 'a near run thing'. This rare broadsheet map was made by an officer who was probably not actually on the field with the army, as he was with the 2nd Garrison Battalion, which was posted in England, and rushed into print soon afterwards. The news sheet map was the 19th century equivalent of a television news bulletin 470 by 295mm (18œ by 11œ inches). Blank to verso. .

TYNAN, Katharine.

London Sidgwick & Jackson Ltd. 1913 Première édition. Un recueil de poésie édité par Tynan et illustré par C. M. Watts. Tynan était la personne idéale pour compiler un tel recueil : elle avait été une proche collaboratrice de W. B. Yeats depuis leur première rencontre en juin 1885 jusqu'à son mariage en 1893 environ, et occupait une place centrale dans les cercles littéraires de Dublin. Il semble s'agir ici d'une édition de luxe de ce recueil. Sidgwick & Jackson, à l'instar de nombreux éditeurs de l'époque édouardienne, produisait parfois de petits tirages à la reliure de qualité supérieure destinés au marché des cadeaux ou aux exemplaires de présentation, en utilisant une toile plus épaisse et des lettrines dorées là où l'édition commerciale standard utilisait du noir. Outre des poèmes de William Butler Yeats, A.E., James Stephens, etc., cet ouvrage marque la première apparition d'une uvre de James Joyce dans un recueil, avec trois poèmes. (« Strings in the Earth and Air », « At that hour » et « I hear an Army ».) La toile présente quelques chocs sur les bords, ainsi qu'une décoloration au niveau de la tranche et du dos. Légers frottements sur les dorures. À l'intérieur, l'ouvrage est globalement propre et soigné, avec un léger noircissement et de légères rousseurs sur les pages. La double page de titre est imprimée sur du papier d'art de haute qualité et présente un magnifique motif de nuds celtiques en couleur. Ce motif est repris en noir et blanc en bordure de chaque page. xxvi, 160 pages. 24 cm x 17 cm.

First edition. A poetry anthology edited by Tynan and illustrated by C. M. Watts. Tynan was ideally placed to compile such an anthology, she had been a close associate of W. B. Yeats from the time they first met in June 1885 until around the time of her marriage in 1893, and was a central figure in Dublin literary circles. This would appear to be a deluxe edition of the anthology. Sidgwick & Jackson, like many Edwardian publishers, sometimes produced a small run in superior binding for the gift trade or for presentation copies, using a deeper cloth and gilt blocking where the standard trade edition used black. In addition to poems by William Butler Yeats, A.E., James Stephens etc. this work saw the first appearance of a James Joyce work in an anthology with three poems. ("Strings in the Earth and Air," "At that hour," and "I hear an Army.") The cloth has some bumping to the edges, and bleaching for the colour to the edge and to the rear panel. Slight rubbing to the gilt. Inside, the work is mainly clean and tidy, with a little darkening and slight foxing to the pages. The double title page is printed on high quality art paper and is a beautiful colour Celtic knot work panel. The panel is repeated uncoloured as a surround to each page. xxvi, 160 pages. 24cm x 17cm. .

First edition. Prepared to mark the centenary of the Bengal Chamber of Commerce. It attempts to compress in to just over 200 pages the important contribution made by the Chamber in those 100 years to the growth of India's trade and industry. Original hardback in blue cloth with gilt stamped titles to front and spine. The illustrations and photographs include a b/w fold out photograph of the Chamber Office Staff of 1952. Boards show signs of handling, neat previous owner's name to FFEP. Otherwise clean and tidy. Very good. 203, xii pages - appendices and index. 220 x 145 mm (8Ÿ x 5Ÿ inches).

Udaipur School

Early 20th century India watercolour and gold on silk. Lord Krishna with consort, attended by four women. The lovers sit on a bed in a lush garden of flowering shrubs, with a lake in the background. Lilies blossom in the stream in the foreground. In a dark blue and gold border, with a flower decorated border outside, and held in a double mount - ready to be framed. Area visible within the double mount: 380 x 480 mm (15 x 19 inches).

Paris Chez Baudouin 1845 Première édition. Couverture originale en papier bleu pâle avec texte en noir. Légères traces de froissement sur les bords, mais sinon propre et en bon état. Il y a une fente fermée dans le tiers inférieur de la couverture en papier. Ce petit volume (43 pages) est cousu dans la couverture. Demi-titre. Le titre est une copie de la couverture. Le sous-titre est « He just took a puff that won't go down » (Il vient de prendre une bouffée qui ne passera pas). Il s'agit probablement d'une satire d'un scandale contemporain ou d'une personnalité publique à travers des images absurdes et humoristiques. Cet ouvrage appartient au genre littéraire populaire du XIXe siècle français des « mystères de Paris », inspiré du roman sensationnel éponyme d'Eugène Sue. First edition. Original pale blue paper covers with black text. A touch of creasing to the edges, but otherwise clean and tidy. There is a closed split to the bottom third of the paper cover. The slim volume (43 pages) is sewn into the covers. Half title. The title is a copy of the front cover. The sub-title is "He just took a puff that won't go down." This likely satirizes a contemporary scandal or public figure through absurd, humorous imagery. This work belongs to the popular 19th Century French genre of "mystères de Paris" literature, inspired by Eugène Sue's eponymous sensational novel. Suivez les aventures de Golliwogg et de ses vieux compagnons, une bande de poupées à tige hollandaises, alors qu'ils parcourent le monde à vélo sur leurs vélos fabriqués à la main. Leur périple les mène dans les rues de Paris, sous les arches de fer de la Tour Eiffel, puis au Japon, où ils découvrent le plaisir de se faire conduire en pousse-pousse. Le voyage se poursuit à travers la Turquie, à dos de chameau à travers les vastes étendues désertiques, jusqu'à ce qu'une rencontre dramatique avec une tribu de cannibales mette un terme inattendu à leur expédition. Couverture rigide d'origine avec dos en toile verte. Les plats présentent un léger noircissement et les coins sont un peu abîmés, mais l'exemplaire reste très attrayant. Dédicace au crayon sur la page de garde intérieure. La page de titre est modérément jaunie. Le reste du livre est en bon état, avec quelques traces de doigts sur certaines pages. On note deux très petites déchirures fermées sur les bords (qui n'affectent pas le texte). De ravissantes illustrations en pleine page et vignettes. First edition. A nice copy of this uncommon first edition. Follow the adventures of Golliwogg and his old companions, a group of Dutch peg dolls, as they pedal their handcrafted bicycles across the globe. Their journey takes them through the streets of Paris, beneath the iron arches of the Eiffel Tower, and onward to Japan, where they discover the thrill of riding in a rickshaw. The trip continues through Turkey, across vast desert sands on camel back, until a dramatic encounter with a tribe of cannibals brings their expedition to a most unexpected halt. Original hardback boards with green cloth spine. There is a touch of darkening to the boards, and bumping to the corners, but still an attractive copy. Gift inscription in pencil to the inside front board. The title page is moderately darkened. The rest of the book is clean, with a few finger marks to some pages. There are a couple of very small closed tears to the edges (not affecting text). Lovely full page and vignette illustrations. Curiously, the copyright notice and date are printed on each full page illustration. 63 pages. 215 by 280mm (8œ by 11 inches). .

The Golliwogg began as a toy character and was later widely made into dolls and other merchandise. It originated in Florence K. Original buckram boards, with a new matching cloth spine and gilt titles. Yellow end papers. The original boards are clean and tidy, the new spine immaculate. Internally clean and tidy throughout with just a touch of darkening to the pages. Neat owner's name to the front end paper. Overall a lovely copy. On the whole, the pages are cut / readable, but there are 3 or 4 gathers towards the rear of the book where the leaves are uncut. xv, [i], 1-744, [iv]. .

Edo Fujiokaya Keijiro 1844

Original woodblock print on mulberry paper. This is the centre panel from the colour woodblock triptych entitled 'Kamakura Buei Yoshi Kagami'. Minamoto no Yoritomo was the founder and the first shogun of the Kamakura shogunate of Japan, ruling from 1192 until 1199. There was a film made in 1945 about his relationship with his brothers entitled Tora no O o Fumu Otokotachi: The Men Who Tread on the Tiger's Tail. In this print he is actually depicted with his famous tiger's tail! The other panels are not with this. It has rough edges and is delicate, with signs of reinforcement on the verso. 360 x 240 mm (14Œ x 9œ inches).

Un ouvrage délicieux, qui fait l'éloge de l'ombrelle (ainsi que des gants et des manchons !), publié un an après l'ouvrage d'Uzanne faisant l'éloge des parapluies. Illustré par Paul Avril, avec de nombreuses compositions dans le texte et dans différents tons (sépia, bleu/gris, etc.). Couverture souple, avec une protection "Chemise" recouverte de soie. Le livre est en parfait état. Le bord supérieur de la "chemise" a été fendu et réparé avec du ruban adhésif d'archivage. Les fermetures à lacet arrière sont manquantes. Il y a quelques rousseurs sur les dernières pages. Dans l'ensemble, l'ouvrage est en très bon état. 138 pages 273 x 175 mm

First edition. A delightful work, praising the parasol (along with gloves and muffs!) was published a year after Uzanne's work in praise of umbrellas. Illustrated by Paul Avril, with numerous compositions in the text and in different tones (Sepia, blue/grey etc.) Softcover, with a silk covered "Shirt" protection. The book is in perfect condition. The top edge of the "shirt" has been split, and now repaired with archival tape. The rear lace closures are missing. There are some foxing spots to the last few pages. Overall though in lovely original condition. 138 pp. 273 x 175mm .
